The Curtis Parry Jazz Cartel is a Frank Sinatra style swing band that plays fully arranged original music as well as beloved standards from the Frank Sinatra catalogue as well as the American Songbook. The band consists of jazz guitarist/vocalist/songwriter/arranger- Curtis Parry, saxophone/clarinet/arranger- Kyle O’Donnell, trombonist/producer- Paul Nowell, bassist- Maurice Ellis and drummer-Greg Sadler.
Based in Los Angeles, he has performed with artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Chaka Kahn, Poncho Sanchez, Harvey Mason, Bob Mintzer, Conrad Herwig, Gordon Goodwin, Oscar D’Leon, Nestor Torres, Tito Nieves, Ismael Miranda, Jimmy Bosh, The latin TV Show “Noches con Platanito” and many others.
He’s working simultaneously as a multi- percussionist in his Latin Jazz Quartet called “Conganas”, with Oscar Hernandez “Alma Libre”, and Frankie Vally and the Four Seasons.
Hugo is truly a unique entertainer with the rare ability to please all ages. An extraordinary, modern One-Man Band, Hugo masterfully combines the novel use of keyboard bass foot pedals, rhythm machine, guitarchestra, synth sax and flute, and an exceptional voice to create a remarkable, live full-band sound. Hugo showcases an entertaining blend of original songs, popular standards, Latin and Brazilian favorites, and a variety of pop/rock, jazz, R&B, swing, and country in a fun, friendly, and festive style.
Influenced by Nancy Wilson, Eva Cassidy and Stevie Wonder, Andrea is currently heating up the Los Angeles and Orange County music scenes. Her voice can now be heard on the national jazz radio station KJAZZ 88.1. Recently, Andrea had the incredible honor to work with David Foster, Quincy Jones and Alan & Marilyn Bergman when recording the vocal demo for CELINE DION “I Knew I Loved You” at Foster’s studio in Malibu. Originally trained in opera at a young age, Andrea won first place in the Oregon State Vocal Competition in the first soprano category when only 14 years old, singing Leonard Bernstein’s complete work “I Hate Music”. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Performance from the University of Southern California.
